Enrolling at Carwatha College P-12

 

To start primary school your child must turn 5 years of age, or older, by April 30th of the year they will start school.

 

The Department of Education has released a new statewide Prep enrolment timeline.

 

The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Prep at a Victorian government primary school, including Carwatha College P-12.

 

The new timeline will apply for children starting Prep in 2026. All government primary schools will follow the timeline in 2025 to support Prep enrolments for the 2026 school year.

 

 

You will be able to apply to enrol your child in Prep 2026 at Carwatha College P-12 from Tuesday 22 April, 2025.

 

 

What you need to do:

 

1. Contact our school office 9795 5848 to book a meet and greet with our Principal - Patrick Mulcahy,  Assistant Principal - Donna Beauchamp-Ormerod or Primary Educational Leader - Tracy Elias. During this meet and greet you will tour the school and learn more about our school and the enrolment process. These appointments will made at a time that suits you and your family. 

 

2. Download the Prep Enrolment Form for Carwatha College P-12.

 

3. Submit the Enrolment Form by Friday 25 July, 2025.

 

4. You will be notified of the outcome of your application by Friday 8 August, 2025. 

 

5. Take part in Carwatha Club Transition Sessions, beginning in Term 3.

TheirCare provides our school community with exceptional Outside School Hours Care!

 

TheirCare provides an engaging and safe environment for all children. Children develop life-skills, friendships, confidence and creativity through play-based programs.


The program is available for all children at Carwatha College P-12 from 6:45 AM to 8:45 AM (Before School Care) and 3:10 PM to 6:10 PM (After School Care) each school day.

 

During School Holidays & Pupil Free Days the service will operate from 6:45 AM to 6:00 PM.

Families are eligible for a Government Rebate called the Child Care Subsidy which can reduce the cost per session by up to 90%.
