CFC Academy Program

The Carwatha Football College academy delivers an exciting football program for Carwatha College enrolled students as part of the student curriculum.

There will be an annual intake of 25-50 motivated students into the program. This exciting program will feature the latest training methods, including skill acquisition, conditioning, mental preparation, game intelligence and football awareness.


  • Specialised training each term
  • Training all year round on grass and indoor surfaces
  • Training gear (top, shorts, socks, jacket)
  • Professional Football Training (one lunchtime session, one double period session & one afterschool session (Total of 4 sessions per week)
  • Working with highly qualified and enthusiastic professional coaches
  • Special appearances from previous and current A League players & coaches
  • Strength training
  • Working in a secure and safe environment with like-minded student athletes
  • Sport & Recreation Cert II & 3

CFC Miniroos Program

The CFC Miniroos program is a new and exciting program commencing in Term 4 2019. This program involves our youngest students into a fun and exciting football introductory program. This program will give students in year 1- 3 the opportunity to work with our Football Director every Monday lunchtime and learn the game.

  • Working with highly qualified and enthusiastic professional coaches
  • Working in a secure and safe environment with like-minded student athletes
  • Fun introductory sports football activities  

PER TERM = $130 Per Term 
PER YEAR = $390 (Term 1, Term 2, Term 3)

Ljuban (Lewis) Palinic holds an AFC ‘A’ Coaching Licence and is currently A League team Melbourne Victory U15s Academy Head Coach. Ljuban has worked with various professional youth coaches from Europe. He has previously held the role of Technical Director at NPL club Dandenong City SC and has just under 10 years of coaching experience both at youth and senior level. Ljuban has also been the assistant coach at Bentleigh Greens SC senior team and won the NPL Championship in 2017. Ljuban is a passionate youth coach always looking to improve future talent of youth players in Australia.


Tim brings a wealth of football knowledge and understanding of youth development who will lead our program to improve the football values and skills of our young players. Tim is the current NPL Nunawading FC Miniroos Technical Director and head foundation coach for the National Skill Acquisition Program and also leads the development of U12/13/14 junior players for over 10 years . Other experiences include FC Barcelona Academy coach, Tim Cahill Head coach and is also part of the Australian national team for Deaf Football Australia. He has also held coaching roles in high performance at the FFV Champions League program for over 5 years and heads the Junior school football program at Caulfield Grammar School also for over 10 years. Tim is a very passionate football coach and a true professional in his work.


Olivia is the U16s NPLW coach at Southern United FC and is also part of the miniroo program at Nunawading FC. Olivia is also an NPLW Female player herself and will lead our young girls into the path of women’s football. 


Mitch Hammond Represented Victoria at youth level and played at Knox City and Berwick city Seniors. Mitch joins us from overseas UK London where he was for 2 years and has previously worked at Berwick Secondary College. Mitch is also the year 8 coordinator and a PE teacher at Carwatha College P-12.

Scholarships are available!! Carwatha Football College is extremely happy to announce that it does offer FULL SCHOALRHSIPS for new Carwatha College P-12 students. Please note there are limited amount of scholarships available.

MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS (Asthma, Anaphylaxis)
Any players who have a medical condition are required to provide the school nurse with an updated management plan prior to commencing the program. Any students who have Asthma are required to bring their asthma pump to every session and put this in a bag with their name on it in the case they require this during the session.


Payment/Payment Plans

Total Fees for the year are inclusive of coaching, uniform, excursion, external school games and bus travel. For the Academy Program it is $950 and $130 per term for the CFC miniroos program. Please note that Carwatha College football staff will look for government grants to assist all students in the program to reduce the total fees.

Payments can be made directly to the school office.
