Welcome to Carwatha College P-12
On behalf of the community of Carwatha College P–12, I warmly welcome your interest in our school and invite you to learn more about our learning community.
Carwatha College P–12 is a government school providing education for students from Prep through to Year 12 on the one site. From 2027, we will also offer Kindergarten programs for three- and four-year-old children. Our size, combined with a strong emphasis on developing and maintaining positive relationships, ensures that every student is known as an individual. With approximately 700 students, we are able to provide personalised support and a wide range of opportunities for every child. Carwatha truly is “a College for the whole family.”
Our richly multicultural community is one of the college’s greatest strengths and helps foster a caring, inclusive and respectful environment where all students feel valued, supported and connected.
The P–12 structure of our college provides significant benefits for both our primary and secondary students. Staff work collaboratively across all year levels, and students have access to facilities, programs and expertise that are often unavailable in stand-alone primary or secondary schools. Our Year 7 students also participate in an extensive transition program that begins during their primary years and continues throughout their first year of secondary schooling, ensuring they feel confident, connected and supported.
Parents and visitors frequently comment on our warm, orderly atmosphere and strong sense of community. We encourage students to develop high expectations of themselves, their learning and the way they present themselves. This is underpinned by our core values of Respect, Commitment, Teamwork and Excellence.
At Carwatha College P–12, we strive to challenge students intellectually, support them in their learning journey and provide a safe, positive and engaging school environment. We are a school committed to high performance. We encourage students to strive for their best, aim high for the future and draw strength from the connections within our school community.
We are proud to have a dedicated team of highly skilled teachers committed to supporting the academic growth of every student. Students have the opportunity to work in ability-based learning groups from Prep through to Year 9, ensuring they are consistently challenged and engaged through an appropriately differentiated curriculum.
Carwatha College P–12 has a strong record of improving student learning growth and achievement. Our senior students are further extended through our V3 program. In this innovative approach to senior studies, students undertake VCE across three years rather than two. This additional year provides greater personalised support, increased opportunities for success and a stronger foundation to achieve personal bests and maximise ATAR potential.
The V3 program empowers students to achieve stronger results, pursue broader opportunities and make informed choices about their futures.
We warmly welcome visitors to our learning community and look forward to partnering with families to provide an education filled with challenge, growth and opportunity. Our motto, “Learning Together,” reflects our commitment to working collaboratively with students and parents to achieve the very best educational outcomes for every learner.
Welcome to Carwatha College P–12.
